Down another half pound. Closing in on the 170's...a number I haven't seen since, oh...maybe 1995? And that was when I was on the way up to 235. :P I got the living room rearranged, mostly. My cats hate me. LOL They are creatures of habit, and when they finally came out of hiding after I ran the vacuum, they crept into the living room as if they had never been in it before. But the houseplants are happier...they'll get the morning sun where they are now. I had a nice piece of corvina that I had defrosted to make ceviche, but didn't have time to make it for 2 days, so it sat in the fridge. I thought it might be ok, but when I opened the package, it smelled a little off. Not bad, just not fresh. So I thought I'd pan fry it instead. Coconut oil, butter and lime juice, with steamed asparagus thrown in at the end. Yeah, no. It was more than a little off. That moment when you spend 45 minutes cooking, and end up eating 5 spears of asparagus.... UGH! At least I had the foresight to get some fresh cod the other day, and it was fine for the ceviche. Got it marinating in the lime juice now, and it should make a great lunch. Have a great Monday, friends!
