It's been 177 days (nearly six months) since my last weigh in. Six months ago, I was a stay-at-home mom of a preschooler and had an easier time of scheduling exercise and meal planning. Now as a full-time working lone parent, I've found it difficult to squeeze quality time with my little one, exercise and healthier meal planning into the limited time I have before and after work. I fell back on bad habits (wine), eating late and not monitoring my portions. I wasn’t doing weekly weigh ins to even keep myself aware of what was happening. The thing that prompted me to take action (again!) was seeing myself in a photo. *sigh* Time to get back on track. Glad to see familiar profiles still here and maintaining. I am encouraged … and trying very hard not to feel ashamed of myself for this colossal gain.

I weighed in early this week. My regular routine is to weigh and take measurements on Saturday but I could not wait. I am pleased to see the drop in weight but I’m over the moon happy to see that I have reduced 2 and a half inches since my last weigh in and my body fat percentage has decreased by 2 points over the last two weeks.

I guess I’ve been more interested because of that spike last week. My diet has not been excellent and my exercise routine has been a bit hit and miss.

I am working toward resuming a regular HIIT sessions. I missed Monday and Tuesday this week because I was cleaning my carpets. Moving the furniture and the carpet cleaning itself (along with wet carpets) had me feeling less than motivated to lunge and squat and do burpee and push ups. The carpets are dry now so I can start the HIIT again.

I will be interested to see my progress in 6 weeks time when family visits me from abroad.
