JockoT's Journal, 12 Feb 17

Back on a further two day fast. It is amazing how much the weight shoots up after a non-fasting day. Granted, I eat quite a lot on these days, but this morning I am up half a stone (7lb exactly) since yesterday. As soon as you start eating again your body fills up with fluid, as well as the fact that all that food is probably still passing through my intestines. TrendWeight.com still only registers it as a 0.1 lb rise, as does the other trend software I use. Shows how much we shouldn’t be influenced by day to day fluctuations in weight. That’s why I only log here once a week.

It's strange how different people react differently to daily, weekly or monthly weigh ins. For me, daily stops me obsessing and I'm relaxed about the fluctuations. Others start obsessing about the grams. If I weigh just weekly, I lose my focus but others find it suits them fine. Great that the fasting's going well 👍

I find that weighing daily stops me worrying about it, too. It also shows you the pattern. If I only weighed weekly, and this morning had been my official weigh in, I would have been devastated.

I agree with you. I keep a little notebook with my daily weigh-ins and body composition. I only post my drops in weight here. That is why I hardly ever post. LMAO!!! Actaully, I am doing pretty good. It's just fluid retention that gets me.

Yep, If I remember correctly just after Xmas you were somewhere in the region of 218. . That works out at a fantastic 12lb in about 6 weeks. Just amazing. You are one determined Jocko. 😁

haha Mom2Boxers that's hilarious ...I just avoided posting a weight because I know I gained! I weigh every few days but try to record each week at least once

aarrgh busted! I do the selective weigh ins too. BUT I do find it more motivating to record the good rather than focusing on the bad. And I do miss out recording some of the lower weigh ins too!
