JockoT's Journal, 18 Jul 16

Just been for my morning constitutional. It is a miserable day here. Dull, overcast, windy, and with occasional heavy showers. Only saving grace it is not cold.
The weight is really piling back on me at present, and even increasing my exercise and reducing my calorie intake has not as yet kicked in.
I have had a busy weekend since my Friday weigh in. First we went and looked at a car - and ended up buying it! On Saturday we went over to my mother-in-law's where I cut the grass while Madge spent time weeding. A good shift when you add in the two hours driving. Sunday was a bit more relaxed, with some early morning shopping and not a lot else.
This week looks like it will be busy so hopefully, with a bit of self control regarding my eating, the weight will start back down.

Hang in there JockoT....you know how this goes. Bodies don't always immediately respond 1:1 to our changes, there seems at least to be somewhat of a "lag" as well, at least I find, with some aspects of this. While too much sodium (or just being overfull) may immediately hit me, something like what you've dealt with lately is going to take time to even out. Even a mild cold put my weight loss on COMPLETE hold for a month back around March, and that was with me staying in deficit. It caught up eventually. But that's the catch... "eventually". Stay strong!

Hope you get some warm weather soon - it's very sunny down here in the south. I'm sure your weight will start going back down when you're back to your old way of eating less carbs. Hope you're having a good day :)
