Just had a chat with my GP and she is highly delighted with my weight loss. She says she is not brave enough to reduce my BP meds just yet, but if I continue to lose weight and the BP stays where it is, then she will look at removing one of the tablets I am on, later in the year. She is happy for me to stop the Statins. She says that the slightly increased risk of heart attack or stroke is balanced by the fact I feel so much better. My cholesterol level is up from 3.8 in November, to 5.3 now, but she says that is not too bad considering I am also eating LCHF. She is also reducing my Thyroxine dosage, which unfortunately will turn my BMR down, but hey ho.

Suzy. She was not enthusiastic, but she said it was a case of whatever worked best for me, The main thing was, she didn't try to get me to eat more Carbs!

Fantastic news ! Shame about the thyroxine , although I assume that she checked your thyroxine levels before reducing it.

Yes, I had full bloods done last week. My T3 is up (which could be caused by my reduced Carbs diet) which indicate to her that the Thyroxine needs to come down. It has been a continual balancing act since my Thyroid was irradiated, back in August 2003.

That is great news Jocko! It is a great feeling when we see the results on the scale, but it is even better to see results like this!
