I have joined the devil worshippers and started notating all my macros into a spreadsheet. This slimming is a slippery slope into healthy eating! My main approach is going to be reducing my Carbs slightly, but making a huge effort to cut out refined Carbs and sugar. I intend replacing the 10% drop in Carbs with Fat, while still maintaining my RDI. Having done a lot of reading about Cholesterol (fueled by reading "The Diet Delusion"), I am seriously considering coming off the Statins I am currently prescribed. I suffer from joint and muscle pain, which I have long associated with the Statins, and the doctor now has me on a very low dose. I think I would benefit without them.

Sounds lovely. I am off to have my brekkies now, sardines on the menu today with the usual dog's dinner on the side :D
Yes, healthy eating will follow, and will come surprisingly easily...
Statins = bad news all round IMO. The more one reads, the more one realises it's likely the biggest drug disaster ever.

It is always a good idea to reassess as you go along. Always good to withdraw from medication if it is not needed.
