Had a shambles of a day. Weather miserable. Sitting in front of the telly. Looks like hitting 130% of RDI today. May have a tiny deficit at the end of the day, but not a lot.

Uh oh.... still, your level of 1900 kcals is reasonably low so even then it might not be soooo bad. As long as you don't get to feel disheartened and do it again you will bounce back I am sure :) And yes, the weather here is more than miserable, it's cruelly shocking. I can't face the DC today. Will have to put on loud music and dance instead! Hey, you could do that too.....?

Have you got a dog? He could encourage you to exercise...

We did a bit of Slow Foxtrot practise this afternoon. Then had a cup of coffee and a bit Shortie afterwards! We are in servitude to a cat, so no dog on the horizon for a long time to come.

All the eating done, and 129% of RDI.

Jive or cha cha would burn more calories, lol. Mind you, foxtrot could be good to if you step out and cover a lot of distance 😁

I love the Cha Cha, but a Slow Foxtrot (as against a Social Foxtrot) is far more energetic. It never stops and, as you say, great big Slows eat up the distance.

I could never get the hang of the slow foxtrot. Now a quickstep should burn the calories and cover the distance!

Quickstep is a wonderful dance. We have never progressed to the fancy "trotting" steps you see on Strictly but it is certainly a good workout. Mind you, done properly, even the Waltz is as good as circuit training!
