Sitting here relaxing after spending part of my morning at the farmers market and then getting my husband off to the fair with my daughter and granddaughter. I wanted to go, but knew I would hold them back from seeing all they wanted to see. Plus I didn't want to participate in the food frenzy that seems to go with those fair visits.

I have been back for a better part of a month now. I have been journaling my food intake and (for the most part) staying within my goal k count.

I have had a rough summer. I did something to my good knee and was laid up for a bit. Even with doctors and xrays no one knows exactly what I did to bring it on, except over did on a trip to one of the lakes here. What was to be a couple hour outing with my daughter turned into an all day affair. Lots of walking and fun, but boy was I sore. That is when my good knee started the grief and didn't let up. I was sent to a specialist who said I had arthritis and some wear and tear from age, but nothing that she wanted to fix at this time and then sent me home with give it time to heal, but don't stay off of it either. She wants to see me if it doesn't get better. Well I am better and not using the walker very often, but I am still slow. It does ache still, but not excruciating when I put my weight on it like when I went to ER in July. The good news is all the knee drama has motivated me to really take my weight situation seriously, so here I am.
