Sometimes you can do all the right things - exercise, eat properly, drink plenty of water - but your body rebels and your weight can go up. Think hormonal changes or a sluggish gut. Stick at it as much as you can and hopefully you'll see some progress next week. If your back and legs are hurting, why not Google some exercises to do that don't put strain on them. Seated arm exercises might help. All the best!

Yes, Phooka. I tried all exercises, which been given me by doctors and nurses from pain management course. But exercises are very easy and I do not feel any progress. But going to the gym and pushing myself to work harder - this works for me. I have got problem with my left knee, I need a knee replacement. My back and small of back hurting very much. As I said in my comment, I missed gym today, as I could not even walk. I definitely will look for some more information about chair exercises. It is very good idea! Thank you, Phooks! 😊

If you have inflamation in your body, (hurting) you will most probably see a weight increase as your body retains some fluid to surround those areas to try to cushion them from the activity that’s hurting them. 🤷🏻‍♀️So while exercise helps get the muscle groups moving and using more calories and helps us be more fit...if it is exacerbating areas of pain and inflammation you will see short term gains while your body deals with the inflamation build up and tries to sooth it. Try using some Epsom salt baths to sooth the areas as well to help ease the inflammation. 🙋🏻

Yelena, what about swimming? I have knee problems as well and my doctor suggested to swim. Only front crawl and backstroke. No breaststroke because of the kicking. It helps for me,now I go 3 times a week 45 mins. I hope you will be ok soon :)

When u add ‘gym work’ into a diet, for the first few weeks little loss as some of the fat turns to muscle 👍,...it’s happened to me before.
