Tai-Lin's Journal, 05 Oct 17

I know there are no excuses for messing up, but i HAVE had a busy and frustrating week. And i haven't been home much, so have been eating places and things i shouldn't have. The only things they had to snack on after i donated blood day before yesterday were cookies and chips, both of which i partook, and i did drink a small bottle of apple juice there, as well as a bottle of water. It's amazing how much faster the calories go ON, as opposed to how slowly they come OFF! And i was so proud of my progress. :o(
Tonight i am getting together with some friends, and we always order something to eat. I'm glad i don't drink alcohol, as i have heard that it puts weight on quickly, as well. I usually drink iced tea.

You need to be proud of your progress!! You gave blood, you had food and liquids to assist you to restore the fluids and nutrients that you've lost through your blood donation. Without this replenishment, you could feel light-headed and dizzy or you could faint! So, you having any of those problems while you are driving home...I'll never forget my daughter keeling off her band riser after donating blood-took my breath away. So, did you did the safe thing. Now that little tick in the scale could be from the food you ate after donating blood, water retention, natural rise in weight (there is a rise and fall in weight) or oops! Just get/stay on plan and we will soon be seeing the green arrow again. Thank you for staying safe!

There will be bad days. Just shrug them off and don't let them side track you. Be happy with all the goods days you have had. We're proud of you for your continuing drive!!!
