I have been doing pretty good following my plan...although I haven't figured out how to add one of my own recipes to this thing yet...haven't had time to play with it much. I made ham salad tonight 😘😍 I love ham salad!! I just realized I put the whole recipe on my dinner list!

I did splurge today for lunch and had crab! I haven't had seafood for AGES....I do miss it ...especially salmon...... sigh

I have had some horrible swelling in my legs the last couple of weeks which is not helping with my numbers but I know I've been faithful to my plan so I just have to be more stubborn than the scale and not get discouraged with the numbers he's spitting out! I'm gonna wait that bugger out.

I did finally figure out that the diuretic the Dr prescribed has the side effect of raising blood sugars......wth was she thinking ordering that for a newly diagnosed diabetic? I was so mad....I have struggled the last couple of weeks, freaking out because I couldn't get my bs to reasonably reflect what I was eating. The readings weren't outrageous but they sure didn't fit the menu. I even bought a new meter thinking that was the problem. grrr. I quit taking it and started researching diuretic herbs..... it will take longer to see results but at least it won't mess with my head.

I finally got the book by Dr Bernstein called the Diabetes Solution. Gotta be armed for my next appt. Great information!

Hi Happy Snappy, I too have diabetes and water retention, besides following my woe for diabetes, I have to watch how much salt I eat.

hi Ginger! ☺. this is my second go round with lc woe and the first time...... after day four - no edema, even when I went way overboard on salt. this time around..... not so much 😐. I'm struggling with this. I even started taking a diuretic, which for me is a HUGE concession. On the positive side my blood sugars are less than half what they were when I started. 🎉🎊
