I was feeling quite starved, last evening, and helped myself to a small slice of blue cheese. This morning my scales showed two pounds more than yesterday.I am following an unusual diet:cup of black coffee, one sugar at breakfast, a double oxo at about midday, which keeps me going until tea-time, about six-ish, and a small salad, boiled eggs, tomato slices, cucumber slices and a little mayo for the taste. This, with very few differences has brought me down from 17 st 2lbs to me present weight of 13 st and now 10 lbs.It is possible that I am fixating on this too much. I want to climb down from the word 'obese', which is an ugly word. but it is taking a long time.

Hi Chinqupark, I think you will find that most if not all the people in this group are fixated/worried/concerned about their weight whether due to health reasons or just feel that they are overweight. The thing is we are doing something about it. I have found that if l stop calorie counting each meal and just put the right kind of food on the plate l seem to achieve the best results. I ate correctly over a period of five weeks and never saw a loss, l just maintained, so l had to change something !!! It's was either reduce my food intake or increase exercise to burn more calories. Or a combination of the two. I increase my exercise and I saw a loss. I am not saying that you do that, the point l am making is the body gets used to what we do to it and you maybe have to change it up a little too confuse it into thinking it's alright to lose weight because I am getting fed enough. I hope that this makes sense. The last thing l found helpful was to drink loads of water. If you have any more concerns post them and l am sure someone will be able to advise or at least point you in the right direction. Be strong, try and not worry about the whole diet thing too much (easy said, hard to do) and good luck
