I failed and I succeeded today.

I broke my fast @ the 88 hr mark not the 96 hr mark. Failure is only true when you accept that as final. I succeeded because I learned that preparing my dinner during lunchtime exactly 8 hours before the end of this extended fast was a bad idea. The cutting, touching, and the smelling the food was too powerful of a stimulant. The food preparation activated my limbic system and willpower went out the window at that point.

This is not a total loss however. I actually ate part of my dinner I was preparing @ 12 PM and the other part is still in the fridge awaiting the transport to my buddies house to be eaten @ 8 pm.

Despite having intentions yesterday of only eating 50 grams of carbs at the end of the fast, I ate 23.84 grams @ 12 PM and will eat 37.99 grams at dinner for a total of 62.02 (which includes the .19 grams from my coffee this morning) My hands are still freezing 3.5 hours later so I know I am still in the zone. All foods logged for your enjoyment/education.

Last Monday, I weighed 212.8 took a mini vacation on Thursday and I returned from that vacation on Sunday, 4 days back @ 216.2 and today before breaking my fast, I weighed 209. I GOT THIS!

I am working late tomorrow in the office and have a huge desk relocation after hours which I plan to execute in a fasted state. I will only eat a huge salad with some baked fish at the completion of this move which could end between 6 pm and 8 PM at that would be a fast of 22 - 24 hrs. I will eat a nice barbecue around 5 PM on Saturday which will be after another fast of 25 - 27 hrs.

Wash, Rinse, Repeat.

Onward I go.

Good going on the extended fast, Ches! Food prep at the end of a fast is a killah, dude. Life and plans...it's a delicate balance.
