For the last few years, I have been consuming roughly 1800 calories per day. It was enough to maintain my weight.

I was 73kg when I was 13years old, but managed to lose 9kg back then. It took me 3 months then, with the minimal information I had about nutrition and exercise.

So I had no idea what to do when I hit a plateau... I didn't even know what a plateau was until a year after that, when I read about it in a fitness magazine.

But by then, I had lost my motivation to lose more weight, so I decided to just maintain the weight. Thankfully, over the years, I did manage to avoid rebound thanks to a permanent change in portion control of food.

But now I'm ready to lose the last few kgs to fats and tone up. I'm kind of overdue for it, being 30years old. But better to start now than never, right? 😂

So I have cut down my calorie intake to roughly 1400cals. I'm not obsessing over it. I just want to focus on eating more wholesome food and less processed stuff.

When I have cravings for processed food, I won't stop myself. I will buy only a little, and have a small portion. Deprivation was one of my biggest enemies when I first lost weight as a 13-year old. I have learned not to make the same mistake.

At the same time, I'm taking steps to prevent temptations from coming in the first place. I avoid walking past the potato chips and junk food sections at the supermarket, sticking to the fruits and vegetables sections.

Last week, I managed to fit in 4 workouts, 30mins each. Work was not that hectic so I had time to fit this much in.

2 circuit training sessions, 2 pilates sessions.

Eating well + practical amount of exercise. 👍
