been feeling really down and ate bigger comfort meals :( Really pi***d when I popped to Boots on Saturday and weighed myself. So was back at it today .. not easy when your partner doesnt support you and sits there in front of you eating cake , chocolate and all sorts ..

Hmm.. it is not really a battle with the food as much as how you feel about the food. You need to find unhealthy food less comforting, find other ways to cheer yourself up which don't involve food, and not care as much about whether anyone is supporting you or see what they're eating as lack of support. Nobody needs to be supporting you - you can be strong enough to be all the support you need. It is your body, it is your choice.

My OH scarfs down crisps, colas, biscuits and pastries - often in front of me. He works long hours and while a little overweight he isn't piling it on as he works it off. It took me a while to get into the mindset that my weight loss needs aren't his fight, theyre mine. Life in the house is easier now. I often cook two different meals to suit different needs. I'll happily bake a pie for him and have chicken and veg instead. To be fair, he is actually supportive - he never complains about two lots of washing up he has to do 😂 ARB is right - the biggest barrier is your own mindset and determination. All the best!

I know how you feel my husband says oh we should work out together and support each other but he never does. Then I can't get motivated and when I do my little boy needs me. So I just stop everything for him. Here's hoping we get a routine sorted soon. You should tell your partner to eat them where you can't see that why you won't be tempted.
