Hi FS Community! I got my software release done and there is less stress in my life. Now the holidays are over and I am back in business. I gained 5 pounds which is less than I expected, actually.
I have been reading my book Rational Recovery very seriously because I really was pushing my luck with eating the things I did over the holidays. I am a binge eater and I can't just have a cookie or two. Usually it turns into a 3 month free-for-all and I gain all my weight back. That books is for alcoholism and substance addiction but the concepts work well for binge eating also.
I am proud of myself for not dropping off a cliff and backsliding all the way. I am behind in my goals but I can only move forward from here.
One thing I noticed is that my eating definitely is worse when I don't journal my food. So I am going to start doing that again starting today.
I hope all of you are doing well and I wish us good luck for all of our 2017 goals!! Rock on!

I'm a software engineer so I know the stress of a release. I stress eat carbs but have found even tracking when I am going crazy with the food helps me from getting too far off track. if only I craved protein when stressed it wouldn't be so bad :-)
