fatgirl2fit's Journal, 20 May 16

I am a little disappointed at a slight gain after 4 days of better eating, 2 days of moderate exercise, 2 fast days, one 24 hour fast (6pm to 6pm) as well as 16:8.

I still need to be positive and motor on, change things up a little. I will stick to low carb for 6 of 7 days and add more than 2 days of exercise this week, as well as resistance training.

Any suggestions would be great.... I dont want to get into a plateau.

I know the feeling ,maybe use measurements as well and not just the scale. The scale can make a person feel demotivated, specially if you work so hard and it shows a gain. strong's for the weekend.

Hi there I am new to this fatsecret can you please help met where can I change the settings to net carbs

Its a very small gain so it could be a number of factors. I've read on a forum that supports various fasting methods about something called the WHOOSH factor where the weight loss stalls or gains a few grams then the body lets go of it and u drop more than you gained. So small gains every now and than are part of the process and dont let it stress you.

Jenny, FS does not have an option to change to show net carbs. To work out net carbs you just subtract the amount of fibre from your carbs.

Yes Saige, really demotivating but we have to keep keeping on.... I am sure next weeks weigh in will be better. BBO, informative as always, thank you. I will read up on that. Thank you again guys, the motivation is always fantastic.

Jenny if you go to My Profile and then Food Diary Nutrition you will see 10 types of food data. You can choose a maximum of 6. Last one in the list is net carbs. I use this option too as it is accurate :)

Hi Ladies! I came across this post and just wanted to add commentary that hopefully will shift a bit of perspective. A gain in weight is not necessarily negative and accurate. Weekly weigh-in's for body fat % & muscle mass perhaps would be more ideal. You could possibly be shedding fat and gaining muscle that would up the number on the scale! Also take water weight into account. PS: A plateau is completely normal, just intensify your workouts. With LCHF i find that my body adjusts too quickly where I plateau. I just adjust my macros & do double sessions p/day or more HIIT.
