Well, there you have it. I gained three pounds this month. This doesn't come as a surprise but, of course, it's disappointing. I ate poorly for the first part of the month and then went on a weeklong vacation/road trip to Florida which made it impossible to eat healthy.

I can't continue to slide backward. I spent the months of September thru December working really hard, not only to lose weight but to cut gluten and processed sugar out of my diet. I felt healthy for the first time in years, and I want to get back to that.

This morning I went for grocery run and picked up the ingredients to make what I'm calling 'detox smoothies.' I'm going to have these for either breakfast or lunch each day this week. I made one today with a banana, strawberries, blueberries, spinach, orange juice and plain Greek yogurt. It obviously isn't the most fulfilling breakfast but it tastes good and it's healthy, so it's what I'm going to stick to for a little while until I can get back on track.

Exercise
Elliptical for 45 minutes (350 calories burned)

Breakfast
detox smoothie
1/2 cup coffee

Lunch
salad (romaine, tomatoes, shredded white meat chicken, rice, light ranch)

Snack
2 Skinny cow 100-calorie pack candies

Dinner
lentil soup with turkey kielbasa (http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/lentil-sausage-soup-recipe.html)
3 slices of French bread + butter
64.4 kg Lost so far: 2.9 kg.    Still to go: 7.7 kg.    Diet followed: Poorly.
Gaining 0.2 kg a Week
