keeping track of things i eat seems to be helping me eat less unessesary calories. i tend to add fewer extras, cheese, sour cream etc (partially because i don't want to have to log them, but whatever works). so that's helped move things in a good direction.
83.2 kg Lost so far: 7.5 kg.    Still to go: 3.8 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

I saw a well researched article by Amy Dacyczyn a number of years ago that said the simple act of logging food can result in weight loss.

I do the same thing. Simplify things. I try to see what is the most unhealthy thing I want to add to a meal and nix it. I am bad with snacks right now though.
