I am really upset about this gain. But being mostly in bed and not moving and eating - of cause it will lead to gaining weight. As it got colder outside, one of my knees stopped working properly ( more inflammation, struggling to bend at the moment. It feels freezing inside of the leg, and nervopathic pain is severe ). So yesterday I researched on the Internet what to do in the winter months, how to keep my knee warm . So today I got some thermal leggings for outdoor and indoor. Hopefully, it will help me. I am so much missing my aerobics workouts at home, which I used to do before this cold 🥶 weather.

I'm sure you've already looked into it, but my husband suffers from arthritis in his knees, they swell up terribly in the cold, and he takes ginger and tumeric supplements and swears they help

Hi, like reading about my own life.. just bought thermal leggings too. I have had osteochondritis dissecans since I was a kid. It impacts my knees. Because of this condition, I also have osteoarthritis on both knees. Full replacement is the only treatment.. Yay I’m just 40.. I can definitely relate with the painful winter: I was not able to climb the stairs last winter and used crutches. Couldn’t sit on the ground, had difficulties getting off sofa. It was awful. My knees were flearing up really bad, all the time. Long story short: I’ve changed my lifestyle completely; strict ITIS diet, ankle weight leg exercises at home and go to gym, and my BMI is touching 25. The knee pains are nearly all gone, just occasional but manageable issues. I can get off the ground without help, no crutches and I walk the stairs like a normal person. Feels like a bloody miracle! But it’s all about controlling the inflammation.

I feel your pain, literally! I have CRPS in my right thigh, the pain is...intense. Definitely get thermals, I find it's better if they're a little tight, the compression seems to help. On really bad days I can't bear for Anything to touch it, I cry with the pain putting tight trousers on but once they're on and the spasms calm down, I find that I can at least move around.

Hello, Jolitt, I feel for you , too. I know what intence pain is. I am on a lot of meds for it and still have got severe pain. Unfortunately, I can't put on anything too tight ( or even tight ) on my legs , as my neuropathic pain gets really unbearable.

Hi, Black-O, I had the arthritis in one of my knees. But I had a full knee replacement, during which my doctor did cut out all my arthritis. I was waiting for this op for more than 10 years. I am really happy for you that changing a lifestyle did helped you. 🙂

Dear,DOOdle, thank you so much for telling me about ginger and turmeric supplements. After my knee op I still have big inflammation, which I can not shift it off ( and if it is rainy weather or or it is cold, it is only adds more inflammation to current one ). Do you know any best brand of these supplements, please.

Hello, dear Nadia. Last week I got 2 very warm fleece lining cardigans. They are really warm and cozy. And for the legs I got brushed thermal leggins from the M&S shop. I got 2 different sizes ( will see which size will be the best ). 😀

We just buy ours from Holland and Barrett, a health food store (here in the UK. I'm not sure if they operate anywhere else). They're probably more expensive than others you can find online but the shop has a good reputation and we don't like the idea of being ripped off with substandard supplements

Hi, D00dle, I do like to go to this shop too. 😄 I have never got from them supplements, but I am buying roasted chicory drink ( I am addictive to coffee, so during night drinking chicory ). This was the best chicory that I ever had. Also buying some nuts, porridge. Thank you, I will look for it. 😀

Hello, Nadia! They are very expensive. But I think we need them during winter time. Also they had some sort of thermal tops. 😀
