I am still sticking with my plan for calories. Still cannot exercise. I had to leave work early yesterday because I was so drained. Back at it today. I am so tired of this slow recovery. But, I am grateful it is recovery rather than not.

My morning in pictures. Every summer day that I have time, I put out food for my birds, putter in my flower garden, and then sit in my lawn chair with a cup of coffee. It is a bit of paradise for me. I don't feed the squirrels by hand, but they sure don't fear me. I love this little guy's sweet face. He walked right under my chair this morning! I didn't want him to get startled and jump up into my lap!

Have a beautiful Friday!

Such a luscious blue! Squirrels here are bold, but not that bold.

Yeah, shir, I'm certain I could easily train them to eat out of my hand, but that isn't a good plan! I love, love the hydrangeas! They are really starting to color up!

Mermee, he does look like a tough guy for sure! I have 5 or 6 in the yard frequently. They are so entertaining!

I had a little squirrel a few get from me not long ago so I started calling him over. I soon realized if he came too close I'd probably freak out so I stopped and just threw him a graham cracker. He was pretty happy about that.

Wow, even your squirrels are a different color, ours are decidedly grey.

That kinda looks like a fox squirrel, the little speedy gray guys are cat squirrels. Beautiful flowers...I bet it is a paradise!

Princess, I think they are so cute, but I've hesitanted to make them real "pets" by feeding them. They get some peanuts I leave out for them from time to time, but I don't think they get it that I'm how they appear. 😁

He is just an eastern grey squirrel... An import to the west. 😁 Some here are black and some seem to have more brown. I've never seen a fox squirrel, but I bet they are beautiful!

Ahhh you are right, his tail is not long enough, I was paying more attention to the orange on his face, feet and I'm sure it's on his belly. We have a few fox squirrels with the orange, but their tail is over well over a foot long. We have some of the big ones in our area, Body length is 28 inches. They are beautiful, they live in the pecan orchards

Wow i love all of this! Yesterday on my walk there was a little bunny who wasn’t even scared of my dogs. Hubs sat the boys down as i also didn’t want bunny to be scared and he let me walk right up to him 6” away. I put my hand out and he looked at me and then casually hopped a foot away. Like saying, nothing to see here but nice to meet you. I took his picture. Made my day.
