melissatwa's Journal, 10 Jul 23

For two weeks I've been really working on getting back into the habit of being here and recording my intake. I've been pretty sick half of that time with a stupid upper respiratory infection, so my progress with fitness has not gone forward.

I said I'd step on the scale today and post it for accountability. Although I rather hate it, I've decided that I will record my weight daily without skipping for a month. I'm well acquainted with the ups and downs that are normal fluctuations. I just need to see the trend moving back toward my goal. Here goes...
72.3 kg Lost so far: 14.3 kg.    Still to go: 4.3 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

View Diet Calendar, 10 July 2023:
1087 kcal Fat: 34.12g | Prot: 43.06g | Carbs: 154.97g.   Breakfast: Great Value Half & Half. Lunch: Key Lime Pie, Great Value Original Beef Jerky, Nectarine. Dinner: Sour Cream, Boiled Potato (Fat Not Added in Cooking). more...

I know you've got this Melissa; daily weigh-ins definitely help me stay on track.

Sweet Melissa, being sick nowadays seems to come with a long recovery time. I know whatever you decide, that is doable for you right now, will get you back to where you want to be. 👍💕😊

Sk, I wonder who is such a proponent of watching trends? ☺️ Sadly mine has drifted the wrong direction and it needs help. I'm glad I'm not where I started. 😁

Shir, my friend,I am grateful for all the support to get back in gear. Some of my habits have gotten so sloppy, and I've been too distracted for too long. I don't think the correction will be quick but lots quicker than not taking some steps forward ♥️ Becky, I feel so drained and tired, but I'm a lot better off than Darren. He is on his second round of antibiotics. I never needed them, but I'm still so weary. Today was my first day back to work. I feel like I was trying to run in a pool... No t much forward progress. I'm so glad to have my people here. On FS supporting me. It helps so much. Have a wonderful rest of your week, dear!

Mermee, you are so positive! I feel somewhat strong... Well not at the moment but most of the time. As for anything else, it seems like not the best description of me. It seems like something I was a couple years ago, and now if feel kind of defeated and worried I won't make progress with my goals. But, you are such an amazing example of fighting through huge, massive changes in your life and fighting continually to be better and better. I'll keep trudging along! ♥️

I wish both you and your hubby a speedy recovery back to tip top health. Heaven knows it's hard enough to stay on your fitness course when you're completely healthy. But illness saps the motivation for that and lots of other endeavors also. Glad you are at least well enough to return to work. Hang in there. Before you know it, you'll be back to full speed. Best of luck.
