Asking myself why I lose and regain the same few pounds and reminding myself I that if I’d carried on going even slowly I’d be where I want to go by now. I gave up alcohol almost a year ago and I don’t give it a thought now, being a soberista is just who I am now. To do that I got my ‘why’ clearly in place and made it a priority… time to apply the same method to reverse engineering my size and weight 🙂
82.1 kg Lost so far: 5.9 kg.    Still to go: 16.3 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

I gave up 13 weeks ago trying to abstain until,my 60th .how did you manage the first few months.? I sure in your suceed in your weight loss plan.

I gave up alcohol for 18 months from June 2020 til Christmas 21, then decided on my birthday last year I like life better without wine. I’m 63 next month, and I’m totally up for the idea that I’ve got some adventures ahead still… Im still healthy and happy, with a very active job and I want to do that for as long as possible so losing weight is all about fitness and wearing whatever I like will be a bonus. And being af means more energy and waking up feeling great every day…. I found the tracker on the I Am Sober app to be a big help in the early days, and I read for inspiration. I loved Brianna Quest’s The Mountain is You.

I did it because I want to reach 60 the way I was going no way drinking every day! Your young enough to enjoy yourself and sober enough. I must read the book you recommend.
