Bubbles McBubble's Journal, 25 Nov 22

here I am again, on the slowest journey downhill known to man. It took me 2 months to lose the first kilo, looks like it's going to take me 2 months to lose the next kilo.

I have a constant internal fight. I know if I stop taking my diabetes meds I'll click into ketosis (won't be able to absorb sugars) and lose weight like a mofo. My blood sugars might be 17 and thick as treacle, and the nausea might be amazing, but I'd lose weight hella fast.

Or, I can take my diabetes meds, eat as low carb as possible, and try to stay in ketosis via not eating carbs.

Problem is every time I think hey, I've made it into ketosis, I CELEBRATE.

And how do I celebrate? Cake! Chips! hot chocolate drinks! I am such a dumbo.

I seriously need to stay on track. And now we're just getting into silly season with the parties and the food. So that was good timing.
91 kg Lost so far: 12 kg.    Still to go: 6 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

Sounds like you know what you need to do. I definitely suggest you follow through with Plan B.

Plan A sounds very dangerous to me. I agree with Debbie, plan B, but perhaps put a little money in a jar to celebrate every loss and when you've saved enough, go shopping for something in a smaller size as a reward. Good luck on your journey!
