sugars still not in acceptable range; haven't eaten sugar for over a week and I'm reading 12.2 right now. by that i mean my carbs have been under 20 for over a week.

At least I'm reading 12.2, and not 13.2, or 14.2. One morning I read 16.7. So clearly it's coming down... ish.

:( giving it another fortnight before I go back on the galvumet given that it does appear to be progressing, and I really don't want the meds. they make me sick, and they're just part of that slippery slope to insulin and death.

at least I'm losing weight - a little.

I wish I could help. I'm always trying to learn about blood sugar and how all that works. My dad was Diabetic and he ignored recommended diet so - He lost a leg and later had a massive stroke. Diabetes is the silent killer. If it were me, I would start doing a daily walk to see if that helps your numbers along with your food changes. 🤷

Thanks! I've been going for a few walks a day, just around the block in my break times, and had hit a point where it didn't lower me even by one point. Have googled a bit, apparently going keto makes you insulin resistant for a couple of weeks. So, I already have the resistance, I've increased it, so the sugar in my blood is just sitting there, farting about. Today I haven't gone up to any scary numbers like 15 or 16. I am over the moon. I think I may have broken the barrier, and my hard work is paying off. D: I was around 12 - 13 till lunch time, and have slowly gone down to 10.6. :) It's a journey. Doctor says 'it's a progressive disease, here have some insulin.' my response: no. That's the end game that is. Insulin is the last thing before death - or keto. LOL. so keto it is.
