I have started a new campaign to lose weight a little faster than this agonizing 1 pound a month. Someone once mentioned in a comment that I would do it when I got ready. It's taken me a year but now I am ready: I am giving up regular bread at home for a "time" (today is day 4) till I lose a reasonable amount. And it is day 94 of giving up wine and sweets, except for the one glass of wine on our Anniversary. I still do intermittent fasting 16/8 about 90%. I will still allow myself the seldom things like sauce, gravy, a tortilla, French onion soup, pasta, or even an occasional sandwich when at the Tam O"Shanter or Jewish deli for lunch. I think this is reasonable With my age (80) and bad back causing lack of exercise. I'm even having trouble walking with my sciatica. I won't be losing as fast as those that weigh more than me, and I'm not willing to crash diet. Modern wheat is inflammatory for everyone.
59.6 kg Lost so far: 0 kg.    Still to go: 6.3 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.
Losing 1.0 kg a Week

I try to avoid refined carbs as much as possible. Modern wheat has so little nutrition anyway.

GREAT job on abstaining from the wine and sweets! 94 days is a tremendous accomplishment! Way to go on making a decision to get started heading back to a weight where you feel comfortable. Having the occasional "treats" is totally acceptable! You're 80 years old - there should be some enjoyment in life!

Snow, I like your current weight. Your goal weight seems a little low to me. You don't want to make yourself too frail. As we age (I'm almost 60) we seem to lose muscle when we lose weight, and it's harder to build muscle back again. So be really careful with your weight loss. ❤️
