It is the first year anniversary of when I started seriously to lose weight. My weight has still been hovering in the same area for over 2 months. I am not now nor have I ever been perfect with my eating plan but I have lost over 50 pounds in that year and am okay with that.
81.0 kg Lost so far: 24.2 kg.    Still to go: 13.0 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

Since you've plateaued for 2 months now, do you have a game plan to change things up? Different diet, different exercise, change of CICO? I've been stuck for about a year now, though I've been distracted with getting my cholesterol under control. My new diet hasn't tipped the scales yet, so I'm considering different strategies to hit my final goal now.

That is an awesome loss in a year! Sometimes it makes sense to see what maintaining is like

I am happy to be 50 pounds lighter. It has changed my life for the better. I will not be changing my diet as I am on a diabetic diet specific for me and it has brought amazing results. I will try at some point to increase my activity level though at 70 getting back to 12,500 - 15,000 steps a day may be a stretch. I am over 10,000 steps every day now. I don't seem to be able to eat in my lowest range of carbs and calories right now.

I hear you -- becoming menopausal and lacking estrogen this year has really thrown a wrench in my weight loss journey. My doctor has instructed me to up my daily exercise, too, which I've only been able to manage every-other day. I'll just keep trying things out. Great job, BTW, on the 50 lbs gone in one year. That's got to feel good!

I totally understand. I was not fat until after menopause and it is life changing. I feel better than I have for most of my life actually. When I was too thin I was sick all the time. When I was too fat I was sick all the time. Kind of like a Goldilocks story. LOL.

Plateaus are so hard. Truly mess with one’s mind. I look forward to seeing the break through.

I am being patient. I have had some set backs. Not really terrible eating - I seldom do that but too many calories and carbs. I have been more active and had more of an appetite.
