I started this healthy eating regime on Saturday the 25th January to support a friend. I purchased a juicer to get essential nutrients as I am going to have to have some teeth removed they are loose I think the probable cause is large doses of prednisolone steroids over the last 20+ years. I have ITP and Tcell leukaemia which needs steroid treatment. Hopefully weight loss will result in lower doses of steroid therapy if I need it again.
99.3 kg Lost so far: 2.7 kg.    Still to go: 13.6 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.
Losing 6.4 kg a Week

As a fellow steroid taker I understand your reasons for wanting to lose the weight. Steroids can have a terrible effect on the body with weight gain which gives the illusion to others that we stuff our faces with fatty food and especially so when the dreaded 'moon face' appears!

I've had similar problems with prednisolone myself, I've only to look at it and I gain a stone Got myself sorted out once but had to go on another long course of high dosage steroids. I have polymyalgia and it is essential to have the steroids to keep pain free so it is a vicious circle. And an underactive thyroid means it really is hard work to lose weight ... but I am determined....
