Snowwhite100's Journal, 12 Jun 21

Today we are going up to our cabin to turn on the water to our one little flower garden and one Dogwood tree. I won't be very anxious to come home because Thursday it is supposed to be 106 here. I'm hoping if I ask around at church tomorrow up there I might find someone to help us rake leaves and pine needles into piles and bag them for fire abatement. If we don't keep our property cleared, the county will do it and charge us big money, although that has never happened to us. For the last three years (at least) my husband has been outside raking with his portable oxygen on, carrying his tank on his back. I don't believe I can help him although I might try. My weight is up a little because I ate a mango, a few cherries, and the mushroom sauce on the roast beef was salty. I had no wine, potato, or bread. My challenge with Debbie Cousins is over in 3 1/2 weeks and I only have 3 lbs to lose but for many years when my weight gets down to here, it took me a month to lose one lb. I am willing to fast near the end if I have to but I have never been very good at it when my weight is low. I don't have very much to lose financially like Debbie since she was trying to lose so much more weight and got others to sign up under her. She has nearly $1400. and it is just over $400 for me. Still, I will try hard. I plan to wait two weeks then consider fasting a couple of days if need be. Traditionally I never kept good control up at the cabin, and we will probably be gone the better part of a week because of the heat down here, and the need to rake and clean up in the mountains. All we do is work up there and haven't been there since November.

PLEASE don't let cabin work throw your back out again! It's not worth it - you were in such agony this last time.
