It is so disappointing to have my weight up when I am being so good. Last night was my 5th day without wine, and I fasted for 18 hours. We had leftover vegetable soup from the freezer and a salad for dinner. I compulsively pick out every last piece of macaroni in my individual dish, trying to limit my carbs, to get my losing "show on the road". Finishing off the last of the salty ham for breakfast was probably the culprit, so we shall see tomorrow. The last year or year and a half where my presence here was spotty, I would have just not recorded the rise, but I'm changing my tactics for now. I'll own it as I am owning the fact that I need to cut back on my too much wine. I am finding other areas of my life that need more discipline, and as much as I am at least partially willing to bite the bullet, change is usually a slow and arduous process, especially at an older age.

Relax, stress can add weight too. Your overall trend shows what you are doing is working. Salt makes the body retain water.
