Snowwhite100's Journal, 23 Feb 21

Have been going a little longer with Intermittent Fasting, 17 to 18 hours a day, but have been going up and down a pound because of not being as strict as I could be with my eating. I am also choosing to lose very slowly because I've lost so much muscle the last several years, I can't afford to lose any more. The sciatica pain in my leg (from my back) is somewhat better, but no way can I jump even gently on my little rebounder/mini-trampoline. I'm only doing stretches and did work in the backyard today sitting and pulling little weeds. The weather is beautiful and I'm grateful to be in Los Angeles. There are hills behind us that give a nice backdrop. Thank you, Lord, for a roof over my head and money for food.

My two nephews and one of their wives are miserable working an entire week so far, just going through papers at my sister's house trying to get rid of years of collecting. Tomorrow they have a telephone appointment with the mortuary to set up a time for a graveside service and burial. My sister died at home and it took hours for her son to find a mortuary to come to get the body, and the sheriff wouldn't leave. All funeral homes here are overwhelmed because of Covid. Apparently, she slipped and fell backwards and hit her head on the floor. I am not involved so far with cleaning up, they called her son and not me. But this is extremely hard on him, trying to run his business and having this mess thrust upon him. He was already working too hard and has already had a heart attack. This is going to be a very long process. I am peaceful at home, taking care of my husband, my house, my bad back, and I'm grateful. Frankly, I'm glad I wasn't the one that found her. I believe her son would have left as much work to me, that I would have been willing to do. The other son and wife didn't speak to her for years but came to help his brother. I'm so proud of them and grateful. I'll be 80 this year, and I don't know if I could have handled it, with my bad back and cranky husband. Thank you Lord, you didn't ask me to.

Glad your sister's children are handling her affairs. You don't need anything else on your plate. Glad to see you in a spirit of gratitude for the things God has given you.

Sorry for your sister's passing and the additional troubles. Agree that it's prob. better to lose slowly if you can - I think we sacrifice some muscle anyway, but good if that can be minimized.
