adefwebserver's Journal, 07 Jan 21

I decided to record my weight today because **not** gaining weight in nearly 3 weeks is **massive progress**. I actually gained weight over the weekend when I hit 200+ carbs, but for the first time in literally years, I was able to maintain <30 net carbs a day for 4 straight days.

For me this is all that matters, cutting carbs. I **always** have a massive calorie deficit. In November I had a 16,000 calorie deficit and I still gained 2 pounds that month (that I have still not lost).

I am able to cut the carbs, because mentally I am feeling much better than I have since COVID started.

This started in December and has continued even though things in the USA are still crazy.

Also, COVID in my county is the worse in the nation. If I needed to go to the hospital I would be screwed because they have ambulances sitting in the parking lot with patients that can't be admitted.

(sigh)

😎 Life is Good! Have a great day everyone!

That is great that you are feeling better about things. And you should be proud about having done so well and not totally lost control. Nice to see your post. Yeah it seems like the worst is yet to come for covid. They have learned how to save lives but it does use up hospital space for sure. Hopefully with the help of vaccines we can turn the corner soon.

Day 3 of keeping my carbs to around 75g as I am not exercising these days. I LOVE the direction of the scale. Stay safe and healthy

@liv001 - The Latest headline in LA is one person is dying every 8 minutes (sigh). I can't even... But, I can't control anything, just mask up and try to stay safe... oh and continue to go multiple days low carb - - Stay safe and take care of yourself, I hear you guys are still dealing with scary COVID stuff up North too...

We came back from visiting with family in Pasadena, Alhambra and Tustin just over a week ago. Yes, it's bad in L.A. We are home now (rural New Mexico) and staying put for a very long time. While in Pasadena, received word that a cousin's adult daughter, in her yearly 30s, had passed away from covid. Very sad indeed. Praying those vaccines can get the spread under control. Sounds like you and V. are stay safe. 👍

Yeah it is increasing in spite of our attempts to keep it under control but we are not seeing high death rates now. I am worried about the new strains though... what it is doing in the UK is pretty awful. So I hope authorities will tell us to drop everything and work to get everyone vaccinated as soon as possible. There should be no other priority right now. We shall see

@liv001 - Glad to hear your death rate is not as bad as ours (it is spirit crushing). Also the USA is not doing so good on the 'priority' of the Vaccine rollout (sigh)
