Have avoided weighing myself for a few weeks now because I was just honestly fed up.
I'm now going to try the ketogenic way of eating. Have wanted to do the keto diet for a good few years but like many, it's the complete opposite of EVERYTHING I was ever told to do.
I love my veggies & high fat oily foods like salmon, olives etc... so it's right up my alley in the way of tasty food.
Admittedly I'm going to miss breads, rice, pasta & other high carb food but I read that after a short while you end up not missing them & the sweet tooth eases too.
I'm now on day 2. Yesterday I was starved out of my tiny mind but drank loads of water & got busy to distract myself too but it was the evening that put me to the test. I'm an evening snacker 🤫
Honestly, right now, having had my breakfast earlier, I'm not one bit hungry. Did weigh myself & gained a few pounds so it'll be interesting to see how weight loss goes & how I enjoy the new eating lifestyle.
Have watched keto clips online of common mistakes people make, what you should keep in the fridge & cupboard to help make the transition to keto easier. Bought a couple of keto recipe books too.
If anyone else is curious, I'll keep posting updates about how it's going, how I feel, body changes etc.. I this way of eating isn't for everyone, so this may yet prove to be an unmitigated disaster but nothing ventured, nothing gained! Laters peeps xxx

I am interested too in Keto. I’m not doing Keto but very similar as I’m just cutting out high carb food such as bread, rice, pasta etc. I’m Day 3 of my own diet. Just drinking water with fresh lemon as I’ve had to give up my Coca Cola. Hardly any sugar for 3days. I’m very similar to you as I snack at night, I’m fine on the day as I keep busy. I’d love if you could post some recipes of keto foods. Good luck with your diet.

Hi Dani2374, I'm doing my weigh in tomorrow but i did a weigh in cheat the end of last week & I had dropped a few lbs. So I'm excited to see how I fare tomorrow. My son, whose 12 yrs old, got well chunky over the lockdown 🙈 He is following the keto with me but I've said we'll judge his loss by his clothes, not his weight. Don't want him getting a complex or infatuated with the scales. Apart from the couple of keto books I got, I have to say I got fantastic low carb recipes from "dietdoctor.com". Plus they've lots of helpful videos too. I love my veggies, meat, fish & dairy... have ever loved olive oil on my salads... will certainly put on some of the nicer low carb dishes as I try them. I have made the cloud bread which was a great replacement for bread if I had a hankering for a sandwich. Plus it did taste fab. I used the dietdoctor recipe. My husband is on the "Exante" replacement meals. I did do that before but I just could not bring myself to suffer through it again. So he & I will be comparing results in 3 week's. I like my food, hence why I'm doing keto. Will update tomorrow with weight & a recipe or two 😉
