Hi George, intermittent fasting it's like water fasting. so out of all 7 days of a week you can choose to water fast for 2 to 3 days. During this two to three days you will only drink water and not eat anything else. The duration of your what the fast is up to your personal preference. Intermittent fasting is really good because it helps you to lose weight while also allowing you to eat what you usually like to eat during the rest of the week. Show in the sense you're not totally preventing yourself from eating your favorite foods. Just that during those two to three days that you have chosen to fast you have to be disciplined. personally I've been doing an extended water fast because I find it easier to fast for extended periods of time. after the first three days of water fasting you no longer get hungry and it becomes extremely easier to fast and you don't get hungry at all. when's the first day of water fasting begins your body starts to enter ketosis and burns your fat storage and you will lose weight very quickly. that has been my experience with water fasting and I am in the midst of an extended water fast. I stepped up my water fast on 4th of June at 61.5 kg and now it's the 9th of June and I am currently at 58.7 kg

But if it's your first time water fasting I suggest that you can include liquid food into your fast to be safe. Also please take some precautions if it's your first time fasting and I suggest that you can try a shorter water fast first insteadof an extended water fast

mrgscott look up the 5:2 diet. my sister loved it said it boosted her immune system too.
