Discovered a bit of neck now that lymphedema has subsided after taking water tablet yesterday. Legs getting their shape back and I am able to use them as I can actually bend my knees once again (no concrete block LE behind pushing against knees but still a huge but pliable mass. Carer is doing a brilliant job restoring circulation via massage.

Thanks guys! I am scared by how much I am relying on my carer. Practically and emotionally. My wildest fantasy is becoming self reliant! But right now, I can't even stand erect in front of my fridge to get food out. It has to be done bit by bit with sitting on a chair between each effort. How ridiculous is that? I wish chubby girls would see how much women like me struggle on a daily basis and adjust their behaviour to not become like me. It is not worth it!

Gosh Tania, you are a star for being so open and honest. I used to watch a show called " supersize v's suprskinny" on tv ( I havent watched tv in years) and it was such an insirational programme not just for informing the skinny folk that its just as dangerous to health as it is being over-weight but it was fantastic for opening eyes to the reality of how easy it is to go from overweight to supersize (and beyond) and the enormous daily struggles that go with that. The show and its participants no doubt turned lives around. I wish you every bit of luck. Never give up. X

Carer did not show up today. I am upset because I did not expect her to fall back into her old patterns so soon. My legs have not been bandaged today. Got a migraine since wake up. Lots of aches in my joints and muscles. Wet nose, just like when I had covid. Carer was insisting her nose was hayfever but I know a cold when I see one. I kept reminding her to blow her nose instead of sucking it back in and wash her hands but something went wrong. Guess I should have insisted on her wearing a mask... My friend is mad at me for letting this woman back into our lives. I don't blame her. But it is so hard to find someone who is patient and understanding and can lift your spirits up with her giggles. Need to become self reliant in every way... Then no one can let me down.

Thats not good. I can imagine it must be a hard situation. I hope there is someone else around to help you until you get back to independence. Hang on in there.

Had a takeaway for dinner laden with salt. Feel disgusted now. Knee getting hard to move again. I just don't know how to help myself some days.
