Day 1 of a planned 2 days of eating

Yesterday I 'binged' on Fish and Chips to break my 'mostly no solid food fast'. A one pound gain is not bad. I could probably return to some real 'net loses' if I immediately jumped back on the 'mostly no solid food fast', but, I-am-not-done-yet 😆 (some have questioned my calling this a 'fast' but, I suggest they look up the word 'fasting' in a dictionary...).

I am 99% sure that if I avoid the 'weekend binge eating' I will get some real 'net losses'. However, it is 'knowing' that I can 'let loose' on the weekends that gives me the 'mental fortitude' to stick it out during the week.

Almost two years ago when I lost the initial weight I had 'not being obese all my adult life' to motive me. Today, not so much...

😎 Life is Good! Have a great day everyone!

@Jimmiepop - I am planning to do a 2 hour run today. May help, may not. Sunday I may 'slow things down'. Monday will be-back-at-it 👍🏾

Dang, 2 hr. run is also admirable. Fitness is *always* a compliment to health, NSVs, even if the scale never moves ..

I’m happy you found what works for you but can’t help to wonder what happens when you can’t run 2h? Do you loose mainly water weight during your runs? I imagine so. Guess it just would slow down the gains from weekend bingeing? Curious on your thoughts on that? And naturally I don’t sit here and wish that you can’t run but we gotta be realistic here too.

@Swedishblondie - I don't think the running makes that big of a difference. What causes me to lose weight is multiple days of <20 carbs a day. Intense running after a high carb day is just 'cheating' to drive down the glycogen, but simply not putting that much glucose into my bloodstream would be more effective. For me (I can't speak for others) the 'water weight' is chemically bound to the glycogen (each gram of glycogen is stored in human muscle with at least 3 g of water) so the 'water weight' movements is because the glycogen is being depleted.

So you run 2h in order to binge eat in your case high carbs and feel it offsets the weekend weigh gain? Am I following you?

@Swedishblondie - The runs 'help reduce glycogen levels' from high glucose levels, caused by consuming higher than my normal 20 carbs a day.
