Day 2 of a planned 2 days of eating

I made it to the gym yesterday. Lifted 230lbs squats and deadlifts (plus the bar of 45lbs so lets say 275lbs). The ‘spare tire’ around my waist is actually a large weight belt under my shirt.

I also ate a lot of carbs and protein shakes. I decided to just-let-go and eat whatever I wanted to.

Diet starts again on Monday…

My problem is still 'motivation'. I'm at that weight where the only reason to lose 'more weight' is that I want to see if I can get 'washboard abs'. Every time I get to a point where I know I need to 'dig in' I lose interest and decide to have some pizza Haha

So I basically eat pizza, gain weight, lift weights to hopefully get some positive use of the carbs, then lose weight again.

This is the point where a lot of people ‘go away’ from Fat Secret for awhile, and either they never come back, come back after gaining the weight back, or ‘check in’ and let us all know that they are ‘still holding the weight loss.

I think that if I ‘go away’ I will definitely gain the weight back…

Stay!!!!! You look great and have to be proud of yourself for what you have accomplished!!! Keeping strong and fit never ends. But it beats the alternative for sure.

@liv001, @Keilin_4 - Thanks! Yes, the plan is currently to 'stay'. I was never able to lose weight until I started journaling on FatSecret a year ago.

Haha 😂 Real Men don’t wear gloves!! The abs are there, but it is usually the last place we lose the weight. I went from 180 to 170 & they appeared!!

@srossca - Gloves **and** weight belt! Yes, I-am-*that*-guy! 😁👍🏾 The gloves definitely reduce my ability to grip the bar tightly when doing dead lifts. I estimate this reduces my ability to lift nearly 20% of the weight I could without the gloves. However, my baby-soft hands would be wreaked without them haha!

Maybe rethink the all liquid diet and switch to whole foods. Protein powder is a highly processed food. You might be more satisfied with whole foods that need chewing.

Hey man, you’re doing great. We’re in a different place now. Keep lifting and stay the course and our bodies are more forgiving of our transgressions at this point. You’ve got a new lifestyle. You’re about to transition to maintenance mode, which includes occasional pizza. You’re good. If you eat pizza, Kill it at the gym. Looks like you did 👊🏻💪🏻👍🏻

You are doing great and I always appreciate your posts; great awareness of your body and how it and your mind respond to food. Hope you continue to hang around FS and keep lifting. Good photo!
