Day 1 of a planned 5 days of ‘no solid food’ fasting

Posting another ‘progress picture’… This one shows that I am getting Faaaat, but I think the the weight lifting makes my body resemble a 'man' not a skinny ‘boy’.

I am getting better (at slowing down on my 'weekend binge eating'):

FRI: carbs: 476.13g calories: 4504
SAT: carbs: 348.65g calories: 3140
SUN: carbs: 247.00g calories: 2612

But, with every gain loss cycle I can tell I am packing on “a bit more fat” that is not coming off until I have weeks where I don’t “pack on more fat”. Yeah the scale keeps going down each time, but the scale mostly reflects the water moving in and out. I suspect there is 2-3 pounds of additional body fat hiding in my recent weight numbers…

I don’t know what the plan for today is. @PrincessValerie wants to go to the gym today and after my workout I may want CARBS so since it is a 'holiday' I might as well eat right?

However, I have eaten sooo much the past few days that I really want to stop eating. I really like having the empty stomach feeling that the ‘no solid food fast’ provides. The ‘macros’ are basically #Keto, but by not having ‘solid food’ I am able to not “binge eat”.

Anyway, it appears I can keep the weight gain down, and eat carbs, if I lift weights.

I just wish I liked lifting weights more…

😎 Life is Good! Have a great day everyone!

Adef, I think you must be looking at a different photo, because I don't see any extra fat, hidden or not. 😊👍

@Becc@ - You are too kind! I think there are some 'ripped abs' hiding in there... somewhere... 😜🤣

Beefy and attractive, Adef. Not fat. Or, faaaaaaaaat. 😆 You’re spot on about the weight gain making you look incredibly masculine. And younger, too. 🔥

@KayBuckaroo - Aww thank you! But, let's see what this would look like if I was back to my BMI wight (around 160). I know I can do it if I skip the unusual 1100 carb weekend... 😜

🤷🏼‍♀️👍🏻 Just don’t let yourself be disappointed with your progress, by focusing your mind too narrowly on how you want to look.

@KayBuckaroo - Agreed! Gratitude and Humility is the key to happiness 👍🏾😁

I agree. You are looking great. I think you just have to say you are on a balanced diet. Balancing your likes (eating carbs) with your dislikes (lifting weights). The end result seems to be a great one.

@liv001 - Thanks! Let's see what I do today... I am 50/50 on sticking to 'No Solid Food', but, I am 90% sure I will make it to the gym...

I'm glad you are doing well, achieving your goals. Note, the following is not a criticism, just a comment: I wonder what you could achieve with a more consistent low-carb diet. The cycling between high carb and low carb means you never really "fat adapt".

I think you look great...a very healthy weight and physique.

Life events will inevitably cause some cycling of weight and body fat, you are recognizing the gains and not ignoring them and that is key to staying on track for the long haul. Awesome job!!

The muscles look good. Keep up the lifting. You’ll keep seeing progress!

Way to go, Adefwebserver! (My husband thinks I do FS for the diet support. He doesn't know that I do it for the eye-candy!)

@jheeden, @moopie321, @shiny50, @Steven Lloyd, @love2educate, @Miraculum - Thanks! - - @gz9gjg - Thanks! Yes I totally agree. I know I can't keep to 20 carbs a day 7 days a week because I need the 'mental break', but this many carbs is wayyy off the map and is not helping at all... - - @Draglist - Thanks! Yeah it kinda blew me away when I calculated the numbers. Next weekend I plan to cut it down to only 100 carbs a day on the weekends. During the week I keep it to 10-20 carbs a day.
