Despite my husband having FMS (I fall it Full Moon Syndrome) and being a complete Ass Hat yesterday I didn’t cave. I definitely missed my Mama extra much because she’s the one I’d call and vent to. Then her words of wisdom and calm would settle me. However, two days in a row of coming home pissy from work and then taking it out on me (even before getting home) I had it with him. So I told him it doesn’t reflect as caring when you start chastising and yelling at someone like they are a child. They didn’t go over well. I was pissed because he fucking ruined what had been a good day off of work for me and the rest of the day and afternoon. Of course, today he’s still behaving like a spoiled brat. This is another first holiday without my Mama and honestly I don’t have the patience for his childishness. Praying for patience for myself today. Celebrating my drop and my closer approach to Onederland. Be kind to yourselves and those around you.

Thanks ladies! I’m happy to say that the Husband got over his petulance and it was a good day. We went to Golden Corral for dinner and I had a piece of carrot cake. He said it was going to be a “chest” day since his doctor said he could. He had cornbread and rice and rolls and dessert. Well his blood sugar tonight was 277; he said it wasn’t worth it. We took mine for comparison (keeping in mind T2D is rampant in my family) and it was 81. Huge difference. Happy Easter.

Over time maybe your husband will appreciate all the things he can eat more. I think some veteran low carbers get there. Yes I can eat potato anytime I want but I really like all the other veggies I can eat so much more at this point. We learn from our cheat days. Glad you guys had a nice day. Happy Easter Jaime.

Omg men and their moods! I always wondered why Cutty could be SO polite and calm with strangers and then act like a total jerk with me. Somewhere in that screwed up dynamic I realized it was because of his insecurities and need to be liked by everyone he felt he could trust me and show his frustrated side to me (even when that meant showing his butt) that he hid from others. That didn't make it right but it helped me thru some of his tougher times. I'm glad your husband came around and you salvaged your evening. I'm proud of you for sticking up for and taking care of yourself.
