Day 4 of a planned 6 days of ‘no solid food’ fasting
Blood sugar 110 mg/dL

I didn't get a chance to run yesterday :(

However, I plan to 🏃🏾‍♂️ run today and tomorrow. I have 📅 three days to lose three pounds to hit my goal 🌞. I think I can still do it...

The reason I like my ‘no solid food’ fast better than ‘traditional water fasting’ is that it appears I could do this forever. I can only ‘water fast’ 3 days maximum. It get massive results, but, for me, it takes a LOT of ‘mental effort’.

I have been ‘no solid food’ fasting for 7 months and it never feels ‘mentally exhausting’. My moods will constantly change, and ‘no solid food’ fasting works with those changes because a ‘binge’, if I feel emotionally stressed, can only-get-so-bad when I limit myself only to liquids.

Also, I can always ‘hold on’ until the weekend when I allow myself to eat whatever I want. This is probably the key for me. If the weekend were not there, as a ‘reward’, I probably would not be able to ‘hold on’ during the week.

That’s why I suck at normal Keto eating (however, I AM doing Keto). Because, with normal Keto, or any diet, you need to “stick to the plan”. I get a ‘weight gain’ every weekend when I do eat, but, for me, that-is-the-plan 😊. I lose so much weight during the week that as long as I don’t get too crazy on the weekend I can ‘stay even’ or even get a ‘net loss’.

😎 Life is Good! Have a great day everyone!

Almost Saturday!! That is what I look forward to with maintenance. Diet on weekdays and eat whatever I want on the weekends and maintain my desired weight. I’m a long way to that point. I’ve got to stop acting like I’m there though or I’ll never get there 🤣😪

@CrashtestDawnie - Once you start back on your diet you ALWAYS lose big weight before you decide to stop :) - - As for me... well.. that WAS my plan. @PrincessValerie will be out of town so I am on my own until Saturday night. If she wont be around to watch TV, I might as well fast until she comes home, so I will fast until Sunday Morning. However, on Sunday, we plan to get a big bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken (original recipe - no sides!) and work on it all day on Sunday :) - - Back on the diet for me on Monday...

That is true. I’ve been thinking about what it is that I’m actually doing and I think I don’t really care about losing this weight because I won’t actually look any better than I do right now. And since I already Feel much better than I ever have, I don’t really have much of an incentive to push myself so hard. I do want to have less fat though but maybe not as much as I want to eat and sleep 😅😅😅

@CrashtestDawnie - I tend to believe that my 'motivation' is based on my 'greatest fear'. Right before I turned 50, my greatest fear went from 'not feeling like I am starving' to 'being fat all my life'. After, I hit my current weight that 'fear', and therefore that 'motivation' was gone. So, yeah I understand :) However, my current 'greatest fear' is that 'if I don't get ripped abs right now, I will never be able to ever do it in my life'. That is the ONLY reason I am 'digging in' again to drop down into the 150s...

Yes! I can definitely see the motivation in that! Abs are so hard to achieve and you are so close! Seeing Keilin’s drastic change to her belly does kinda light that desire to try harder to improve what I’ve always though would be 100% impossible!

@CrashtestDawnie - Yes, @Keilin's transformation really motivated me to continue. It takes a long time, but, lifting weights, plus low body fat will 'sculpt' my body :)
