Wednesday I did not make it to the gym and did not get any cardio in. I had great plans, but then we had an EMS call and I had to connect up with the ambulance and then we transported. Got back home and worked late. Yesterday, was a long work day and yet again I did not make it to the gym. However, I did get a 3 mile run in on the treadmill. Yes, that was three miles with some hills...the hills were the only time that I scaled it back. I hurt myself (years ago) on incline on the treadmill....rotated out my hip and it was painful. So now I am extremely careful with any incline that is at 5.0 or higher.

Tried another new recipe last night and it was so good! I substituted coconut cream in place of the HWC so I could have a no dairy day. Creamy Chicken with artichokes and sundried tomatoes. I used grilled artichokes and sundried tomatoes that I already had. Here is the link if anyone wants to copy the address and check it out: https://www.lemonblossoms.com/blog/chicken-with-artichokes-and-sundried-tomatoes-cream-sauce/

This morning saw another 0.2# loss on the scale which is nice to see as I wasn't expecting it.

Menopause wise...the hot flashes are the most troublesome now and I am still working with those. Peppermint roller helps and I keep that on my nightstand. I did try an experiment last night. Thinking about a hypothermia patient and how heat packs, under the armpits, helps to raise the core body temperature...I thought wonder if the peppermint there would help cool it during the flash. I mean it helps on the neck but takes a bit to kick in and honestly when that flash is going on I need immediate help. Last night I rolled a touch under each armpit and during my hot flash I did and I really think it helped cool me down quicker and keep me cooler longer. I slept much better last night. I was in the bed by 8pm and asleep by 9pm. It was so good to get a good nights sleep.

So that is where I stand on the menopause front. Oh! Had some achiness in my knee yesterday but it worked out while running. This morning both knees were a bit achy but I rubbed the Deep Blue on them each this morning and no issues.

I hope you all have a great day and weekend. Let's remember to love ourselves and be kind to our bodies!!!
