Another .2# drop, and that is a great thing! Chiseling away at this one step at a time...that makes me think of the attached image. I am okay with chiseling away. I know a lot of people get disappointed with such tiny losses or when others are losing much faster than them, but we all have our own path to take...that is in every aspect of our lives, and includes this one.

As I had mentioned I have a 30 day gym membership. I am glad that I logged in 2 miles on my treadmill at home prior to my gym date. My friend cancelled on me and so instead I took that time (would've been 30 minutes) to change my bed clothes, take a quick shower and cook dinner. It actually worked out well because by the time I was done it was time to go to the Council meeting. So yesterday wouldn't have been the best timing for that anyway. My friend cannot go today through Friday, but I will go and get my weights on. Thinking I will make use of the rowing machine that is there, too.

Oh! NSV! I pulled out another pair of jeans (that I definitely couldn't wear) and wore them to council meeting last night! Pretty exciting.

Today is my 7 week Keto-versary!! I feel so good and stronger, too. It is like each day gets a little better still...each day I feel a little stronger and in control. For instance....I ate a quick salmon salad for dinner last night and my normal routine is to be in bed between 8 and 8:30 since I start work at 5am. However, after council and getting home we had someone drop in and they didn't leave until 9pm. By that time I would have been settled in bed and probably sleeping, but I wasn't. I was feeling a little hungry, but I do not like to eat late. I was able to tuck that feeling away and recognize "you aren't starving and you will be sleeping soon". This is another NSV and this is the kind of NSV that will help me from straying too far from this healthier path that I am on.

Have a great day and remember to treat yourself with kindness!

Jamie I had hesterectomy a week ago but had to have cervix & lymph nodes removed as well. Thank you to remind me cancer likes surgery..too much. If I loose .2 of a lb it's something & it's still a good thing. Good luck on your journey 👌

You want long term results that also look good? chisel away. Slow is best. Initial drops can be large if you're very large, but after that slow weight loss is better.

Wonderful posting! You’re doing the treadmill, too. Something my husband has encouraged me about the treadmill is to do HIT, where u keep increasing the speed for a minute or two until u reach the top speed u can go, then drop it down and repeat. He has seen major changes doing this as opposed to steady going. Your before and now pics are fantastic!

Art is in the eye of the beholder, just because some people have negative feelings about this statue doesn't mean that it has the same meaning to others. When I first saw this post, I got the feeling of someone being in control of their body, that resonates for me because I am in the middle of transformation. Everyone is free to have their own opinion, but please let's not try to stomp on something that people find to be positive or motivating.

funny I didn't know statues talk.... I think this is a great piece of art. a hundred people can look at a piece of art and say it means a hundred different things.
