Day 3 of a planned 3 days of eating
Blood sugar 108 mg/dL

I stuck to my plan to only consume 100 carbs or less 👍🏾

I went to the gym yesterday morning. I did not 'carb up'. My ability to lift was definitely decreased (I need maximum glycogen in my muscle cells to 'lift heavy'). However, I still did a full workout. So, I feel I only need to 'carb up' for 'lifting heavy'. Otherwise, my body WILL convert fat and provide energy needed to work out... just not a 'maximum levels'. My main concern today is not-getting-fat! Some people can 'pound the carbs', 'workout hard', and not 'get fat'... I'm just not one of them

I am going to skip the gym today, so my plan:

🥛 Keep my carbs under 100 each day
🏃🏾 Run 7 miles a day

Posting some pictures to show the slight change in my body composition at the same weight (note: I flipped the last picture horizontally for better comparison). Looking at these pictures allows me to see that I really do have 15-20 pounds of fat in my mid and lower section. I really do need to keep cutting weight...

😎 Life is Good! Have a great day everyone!

@liv001 - Thanks! I only plan to do a 🏃🏾‍♂️ run today. Not 'carbing up' has apparently helped my weight loss this weekend (I have not gained the usual 5 pounds over the weekend), but, I don't 'feel strong'. When I run, that doesn't matter...

that's really amazing how your body is sort of being "shrink wrapped" haha your getting all toned up. congratulations on sticking to 100 carbs. I think eventually I might cycle 50 carbs on and off. ✌

@jenjabba - Thanks :) Yeah the 100 carbs only works for me if I also do 7 mile runs to drive the glucose down! Haha Otherwise, I could probably only take in 30-40 carbs for ‘weight maintenance’ - - Also, I just wrote my Journal post, that I will post tomorrow. My post is about addressing the relation of protein and carbs to the "rate of weight loss". Here is the thing, for me, there-is-none! Meaning, a certain level causes weight loss to occur and a certain level stops it. It is basically an "On or Off Switch". This is going to have me trying a 'new strategy'. Basically I am going to start stringing together as many days in the "on" mode...

@Keilin_4 - Thanks. But, to see the results from the weight lifting, I must drop more weight... If I try to 'look cut' at 172 pounds, I would have to add a LOT more muscle. I think it would take me 3-5 years and a LOT more hard work! So, I think I am better off just dropping 10 pounds... Haha! :)

I know😐, it seems like your body is insisting to stay in the 170s lbs. 🤔

Well, You did not reach the 180, that is great 😊

@Keilin_4 - Yes, I seem stuck at 170pounds :( yes, I did not hit 180, **yet** :) (I still have one more day to go on my 3-day weekend) - - ! My journal tomorrow will cover my 'new strategy' to drop the weight :) Basically, my protein shakes are the problem (sigh)
