Day 1 of a planned 2 days of water fasting
Blood sugar 84 mg/dL

I went on vacation for two days, ate like crazy and gained the expected weight. Now it's back to the diet :)

I decided to start off with a two day 'water fast'.

I haven’t ‘water fasted’ in many months. This is different than my usual ‘no solid food’ fasting that consists of 1,000 calories in protein drinks.

After my recent analysis of the past three months I came to the conclusion that consuming so many protein drinks provides ‘weight maintenance’ but not much ‘weight loss’, so, I decided to cut back on the protein drinks. However, my water fast for the next two days is based on a desire for a ‘spiritual cleansing’ rather than weight loss.

Yes, I have read that protein not used by the body for nutritional needs will actually also store as fat

4:00pm so far so good :) Only Green tea all day. Did a 3 mile run this morning.
