Day 2 of 2 days of planned eating
Blood sugar 99 mg/dL

We went out to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. I ordered off the Skinnylicious menu that averaged 500 calories a meal. That seem high, but the ‘normal’ menu averaged 2000 calories! The problem for me is that ‘after’ eating the meal I became ‘hungrier’ and proceeded to snack throughout the day and night. I did do a run yesterday, so that is why I think I ‘only’ gained a pound.

The plan today is to eat as little as possible and hit the gym AND run. If I can only gain a pound tomorrow I will consider the weekend a success.

I start my normal 5 day ‘no solid food’ fast on Monday. This week I plan to ensure I run every day during the week.

😎 Life is Good! Have a great day everyone!

500 calories is not bad, but I would think it high also. I should have sent you our gift card for CCF that we received this summer. 😉 Still haven't used it. I have to check where the closest one is out here. El Paso? Albuquerque? Phoenix? All hours away! Have a good second eating day.🌞

@Becc@ - What a coincidence, the reason we went was because we had $50 in gift cards. So we basically had lunch, 500 calories each, drank only water. Had a slice of cheesecake to take home, the bill... $46!

I would say you did really well! When we use gift cards, especially gift cards, you would think there was an extra zero at the end of the amount! 😉 When we lived in Alhambra, we would invite others to go out to eat with us all the time.😊 We really enjoyed it. We also spent a lot of $$$, but we have good memories. Living out here in NM and retired, we don't do that so much, but we do try to take our guests to this amazing restaurant called The Buckhorn Saloon built in 1862, that has delicious food, drink, entertainment and an amazing atmosphere!

That’s where my coffee habit helps....when I get hungry I drink another cup!! I average almost 5 a day.

@jengetfit123 - That's what started my 'no solid food' fasts. It originally was only a way to 'stop the binge eating'.

@srossca - Coffee works for me too! But, then I can't sleep :( So I have to limit myself to two cups a day, and one 5-Hour Energy drink a day (sigh).

@Becc@ - We went to the CCF on Fair Oaks and Colorado. I bet that is the one you went to if you were in Alhambra :)

500 calories is pretty good for a restaurant meal - hope it was tasty! Hope the rain clears out so you can get your runs in next week! Enjoy your Sunday :)

No, we would go to Santa Anita. Old Town Pasadena is always so crowded, especially around dinnertime. Russell's on the other hand was always worth getting up early to get a table for breakfast. 😊
