Day 3 of a planned 3 day ‘no solid food’ fast

I decided to stop my fast tonight rather than tomorrow night. Because of the Holiday, and my eating, I planned to extend my fast into the weekend to ‘catch up on fasting days’. However, on reflection, I realized that this would mean I would only have one day of eating before I started my usual 5 day, Monday-Friday, “No Solid Food Fast”.

Fasting is a ‘mental’ thing. So, skipping my usual 2 day ‘mental rest’ of eating on the weekend is not a good idea. Yes, it will slow my weight loss plans, but, it is better that I allow myself to eat tonight, Saturday, and Sunday.

I hit the gym yesterday, but, I did not do my run. I will make sure I get my run in this morning before work.

i think i will try your no solid foods fast, next week. what's the avg you lose over 5 days?

@kaylinrenee - Good luck! Let us know how it goes! I usually lose 4-5 pounds over a 5 day period. I usually go from 3 pounds (12/17/2018 175 lbs - 12/22/2018 172 lbs) to 7 pounds (12/26/2018 178 lbs - 12/30/2018 171 lbs). This is what a LOT of exercise (3-5 miles of running 5 days a week, and 20-40 minutes of weight lifting 3 days a week). I could probably lose weight twice as fast if I was not taking in 800-1100 calories a day in protein drinks in heavy cream, but, I have been "No Solid Food" for over 9 months. There is no-way I could go this long unless I was 'comfortable'. Once I got used to it, my body simply does not need solid food every day. Also, on 'eating days' I'm eating hamburgers, fries, tortilla chips ect.

we all have hiccups. its better to forget they happened than to dwell on them. plus, if you're like me, if i don't have sweets on occasion im more likely to binge. i will track my progress on here for ya :) tips on drinks to consume? fruit and veggie smoothies??

@kaylinrenee - I have to stay away from smoothies because I 'get crazy' and end up with 1500 calorie smoothies :) I drink either decaf Green Tea or I drink a Quest Vanilla Milkshake Protein Powder with Heavy Whipping Cream (300 calories - 3 carbs)

So how'd those mittens, er, I mean gloves, work out this morning? :) Good thinking on the fasting/eating days - keep on workin' it!!
