Blood sugar 89 mg/dL

I can hold a fast if I don't eat. However, yesterday I planned to break my fast. So, when I got the idea to have peanuts I had some even though I know they don't really fill me up and just make me hungry.

Luckily I only had one small bag that I got out of the vending machine at work (if I had a can I would have eaten the whole thing). When I got home I dived into the low carb tortilla chips and turkey sticks (this is basically all the carbs we have in the house).

Dinner was Quest Pizza (the best!) and for desert @PrincessValerie made low carb cheesecake (I logged it here: https://www.fatsecret.com/member/adefwebserver/meals/7666203/PrincessValerie+Cheesecake).

I didn't gain a pound, but I usually drop a pound after I break a fast so I think I probably did gain a pound by taking in 2200 calories (for me, excess calories always leads to a weight gain, however a calorie deficit does not lead to weight loss for me).

I really would like to drop 10lbs just to see what my body would look like without the layer of fat around my muscles I have been working on. So, today I will keep the calories and carbs low, run and hit the gym.

😎 Life is Good! Have a great day everyone!

The stomach will tighten. Give it time. You only lost massive weight recently. 30 years you've been obese. The gym will catch up to your running and nutrition discipline. Trust me.

@chesgreen - Yep, 30 years of carrying 50lbs+ more than I am now is gonna take a while to turn around... :)

@chrisw77 - I backed off on the weights (180lbs) and 'dipped low' on the squats today. Don't want to get injured... :)

@Baskington - I felt 'ok' but I took it easy because I am about to go for a 5 mile run and I plan to go to the gym tomorrow for my normal workout. This was just a 'add-on' workout.

ah, two days in a row, so I am guessing you have to eat tonight.

@Draglist - Thanks! Today is a 'crazy workout day' because I have nothing else I HAVE to do today, so I just know that I could easily 'inhale' 300+ carbs and 2,000+ calories if I don't 'distract' myself :)

@Baskington - Yes, today AND tomorrow are 'eating days'. To get back to lifting 200lbs I feel I need a LOT more carbs. But, I am trying to hold off until I can get down to say 165lbs before I do that. This weekend I am trying to just 'hold steady'. My calories will go above 2k and that means I WILL gain weight. However, in the past, if I keep my carbs low I will usually only gain a pound, not the 4 pounds I gained last week! Last week I did multiple days at 100+ carbs a day. When I get 175lbs+ I 'mentally' run out of 'buffer'. If that happens I MUST 'cut'. If I hit 180lbs I would go on a 14 day water fast! Regaining all the weight I lost is-not-an-option :)
