Day 2 of a planned 5 day 'no solid food fast'

Blood sugar 79 mg/dL

🧘🏾‍♂️ I had hoped for a 2 pound loss because I did a good job of drinking only Green Tea during the day. I will try that again on Wednesday, but, if it doesn't give me a loss of 2-3 pounds a day I will go back to drinking protein drinks during the day. 'Water only' takes 'mental effort' from me and it is only worth it for big losses.

🏋🏾 Today is a lifting day so I will allow myself Protein drinks during the day. The one change I will make is that I wont have any heavy cream except for my morning and my evening drink. I think last week I took in a lot of untracked carbs by consuming too much of it last week.

This is a picture of my "Norpro Cordless Mini Mixer, 5 Piece Set" I got on Amazon. This thing will completely mix a full scoop of "Quest Nutrition Protein Powder", heavy cream, Splenda, and coffee. So good!

okay this is a article on a guy that is going for a body and lift record much higher than I think you ever want to get into(doing Keto). I originally saw this link from Toms posting a few months ago. https://www.bodybuilding.com/content/can-you-build-muscle-on-a-ketogenic-diet.html this is another link to a study http://roguehealthandfitness.com/muscle-gains-fat-loss-ketogenic-diet/ There is all kinds of body building and I don't know if your goal is to get buff and maintain that or work hard all the time like Diabo. Each has its costs and merits. I know you are struggling with the carbs, they are like an alcoholic trying to drink one day and give it up for 2. doesn't work well. This second link showed muscle gain and fat loss on keto. Just food for thought while you are musing what to do to try and get the weight off you want and still train. I know there are members here that worked out with a keto diet plan.

@baskington - Thank you for finding those links. I actually had found and read both of them about a month ago (great minds think alike!). As of today I am trying to cut to 163lbs and to limit my carbs to less than 20 carbs 6 days a week (today is a lifting day, and while I will allow myself more Protein, I will still keep the carbs to 10 net carbs). It appears the 'problem' is that when I increase the Protein, even with low carbs, I slow my weight loss. (sigh). I may just have to take the hit. I'm willing to give up solid food for 5 days at a time but I'm not willing to give up much more...

I want to drink your coffee 😋😋, I am drinking mine black and bitter 😐, but my donuts and Pan dulce gives me all the sugar I want 🙈haha

I've used your little mixer for a year or so, and it is holding up better than expected. Great little device. Great to see your progress too.

@Diddlee - Yeah for $9 it has already paid for itself :) I bought one for work and one for home. I have tried about 5 different ones and this one is the most powerful.
