Day 5 of a planned 5 day 'no solid food fast'

Blood sugar 91 mg/dL

🌟 Consuming 900 calories a day of 🥛 "Quest Vanilla Milkshake Protein Powder", heavy cream, and Splenda and exercising and lifting weights = crazy weigh loss! 👍

This fast is going so well I decided to extend it an extra day 😎

🧘🏾‍♂️ This current fast really has been a breeze. The proper dosing of "Hi-Lyte Electrolyte Concentrate" 2-3 times a day was the key to my electrolytes getting ‘out of balance’ that sometimes caused lethargy, dizziness, nausea, and constipation. Timing is important, Yesterday, I took it 'after' my lunchtime walk rather than 'before' (as I normally do), and found myself dozing off at my 5th meeting for the day a half hour later (it may have just been the meeting!). I took a few sips of 5 hour energy drink and was fine the rest of the day.

⌚ I normally stop fasting Friday night, but @PrincessValerie is all ‘Keto’ now so we no longer have our Friday Night Pizza 🍕. So I will continue the fast until Saturday when I plan to break the fast with a BBQ at my parents’ house 👩🏾‍🍳.

📅 I look forward to restarting the fast next week, but I will start it on Tuesday rather than Monday because @PrincessValerie and I plan to hit the town on Monday (but still eat Keto).

@PrincessValerie and I walked to the gym last night and I did:

[3 sets of each]

Bench Press - 70lbs (10 reps)
Deadlift – 100lbs (6 reps)
Squat - 110lbs (10 reps)
Ab Crunch - 120lbs (10 reps)
Pullups - (10 reps)
Shrug - 110lbs (10 reps)
Pushups - (10 reps)

🏋🏾‍♂️ This is my last weight level when I was 'bulking'. However, I did not have the energy to increase the weights (like I normally do when 'bulking'). I will do another ‘bulk’ after this current ‘cut’ and hit the carbs again and see how much higher in weights I can get.

Have a good day everyone!

You are doing great baby! I am so happy we are on this journey together with the upcoming holiday season. This is the time we always F*** up and gain all the weight back that we lose over and over again every year. NOT THIS YEAR! We got this!

@momma6224 - Yeah is really helps a lot. Can't really slack off or cheat when you feel you are letting you partner down :)

@chrisw77 - It was nice that I did not have to back off on the weight (except for deadlift but that needed to happen anyway). However, I should be increasing my weights... not gonna happen without carbs :( I barely made it though the sets :( In the past I was always able to 'do a little bit more'. Also, I took a huge scoop of protein in heavy cream right before the workout (and then drank my protein shake afterwards).

well you have a weekend to eat keto, load up on the awesome food I am sure your wife is making. Great team!

@baskington - everything will be Keto (because @PrincessValerie is cooking) except when we are at my parents house. Hopefully the 'damage' will be small...

@nikeit - I agree, I think it was the meeting. Today I had no problems...

You are PrincessValorie make an awesome team! So great you guys have each other to lean on during the fattiest days of the year 😂😂

@CrashtestDawnie - yes my Mom will try to get me to eat more, but she will shove Keto food at me :) Yes I am lucky to have @PrincessValerie, however, in the past we have also 'gotten each other fat'. Lately I have been better with my diet because I have quit in the past and 'brought her down' with me :(

I would still like to see you experiment with keto bulking at some point. I am watching closely and learning as you are when you test different methods.

@baskington - I SERIOUSLY considered it, but now that I am down into the 160's I am back to looking 'skinny'. The only thing saving me this time is muscle definition in my arms from the last 'bulking period', but even that is starting to go down. By the time I hit 160 I will have 'little boy arms again'. I feel I need to be able to squat 200lbs+ like @JimmiePop to build up the muscle bulk that I want. - - To get to that I need to increase my weights 5lbs-10lbs each session. I simply cannot do that without 'carbing up'. So, on the next 'bulking' I plan to get 'crazy serious' about lifting as much as I can. I will experiment with 'keto lifting' after I get to the point where I can cut to 160 and not look like 'a little boy' Haha

@chrisw77 - Not 'little boy arms' yet. But, I am waiting to 'see what happens'...

@chrisw77 - I just want to keep increasing the weight I lift. I have been lifting 110lbs for a few weeks now. Leangains says I have to keep 'increasing' the weight I lift. I watch the guys in the gym who have the body I want. They have 'serious weight' on the bar. Yes, I have to be 'patient' to get there, but I want to be pointed in that direction :) :)
