rubytaylor's Journal, 04 Jun 18

Sorry I haven't been on FS for awhile. My life has been turned UPSIDE down. I'm currently working a combination of days and nights due to a co-worker quit. I don't know when to eat what and when anymore and my sleeping routine is so messed up! I'm used to working either days 7-3, 9-5 or 7-5 but sometimes I'm working one of these hours and then working 6pm to 6am a few days. In another couple weeks I will be going to straight nights 6pm to 6am until someone is trained. This could last the rest a month to 2 months depending on how their training goes.
Also I just had my blood work done and my kidneys and liver are working harder than they should be plus my cholesterol is on the rise. My friend turned me on to a coffee called "U" about a month ago and my doctor is wondering if this is having an effect on my kidneys and liver, so I'm laying off it for now until I do another blood test in July. Until I go back in August to my nutritionist nurse I really don't know how to eat. I've read where red meat or protein in general can be hard on your kidneys but I also read where vegetables can be hard on them also because of the fiber. Guess I will continue eating the way I am until I see results of my next test and see where I'm at. This really stinks because I have tried so hard to eat right, lose weight and become healthy so I can live longer.
I'm very sorry but this is a depressing entry this week, but I'm kind of in the dumps right now. For what it's worth I had a fun weekend with my husband and son. I hope all who reads this has a great week and has having great results on their health journey!
